Facebook manufactured smartphones are just rumors: Mark Zukerberg [rumor disclosed]
If you are one of them who got to know about the mobile phones which are going to be manufactured by Facebook and will have deeply integrated apps -- then you were wrong the whole time.
Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg abruptly denied the "smartphones by Facebook" and suggested that they are going to be in the Hardware business any sooner.
"It woudn't make very much sense to build a Facebook Phone" he told analysts on a conference all following the release of the company's earnings for the June quarter.
According to the giant social community's CEO - Facebook is the most used app on most of the mobile phone platforms and they would continue to make it like that way. They are aiming even more integration to the platform and better user experience and increasing user base.
"We want to not just have apps that people use but also be as deeply integrated into these systems as possible," Zuckerberg added. "We want to support a development ecosystem where other apps can build on top of Facebook."
"That's why you'll see us do things like support Apple and the iOS integration that they wanted to do," he continued. "There are lots of things that you can build in other operating systems as well that aren't building out a whole phone, which I really don't think would make very much sense for us to do."
Inspite of the denial from Facebook's CEO, rumors continue to persist that such a smart phone is in the works. According to a Bloomberg report, the device would be produced by HTC, include a "modified" operating system, and be introduced next year.
Now it is upto us to believe, whether Mark is right or the rumors which are going viral on the internet community. What do you think? let us know!
