Top 10 Most Pirated Movies on Internet, Week ending August 8th, 2012

The top 10 most downloaded movies on BitTorrent, 'Battleship' tops the chart this week, followed by 'The Hunger Games'. 'American Reunion' completes the top three.

This week there are two newcomers in our chart. Battleship is the most downloaded movie.

The data for our weekly download chart is collected by DigitFreak, and is for informational and educational reference only. All the movies in the list are BD/DVDrips unless stated otherwise.

The film stars Taylor Kitsch, Liam Neeson, Alexander Skarsgård, Rihanna, Brooklyn Decker, and Tadanobu Asano.

The Hunger Games is a 2012 American science fiction film directed by Gary Ross, based on the novel of the same name by Suzanne Collins. The film was produced by Nina Jacobson and Jon Kilik, with a screenplay by Ross, Collins, and Billy Ray. It stars Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth, Woody Harrelson, Elizabeth Banks, and Donald Sutherland.

American Reunion (also known as American Pie: Reunion in certain countries) is a 2012 comedy film written and directed by Jon Hurwitz and Hayden Schlossberg. It is the eighth installment in the American Pie film series overall as well as the fourth and final installment in the American Pie main series of American Pie (1999), American Pie 2 (2001), and American Wedding (2003). The film's plot ignores the events of the direct-to-DVD spin offs.

The Raven is an American thriller film directed by James McTeigue and based on a screenplay by Ben Livingston and Hannah Shakespeare.[5] It stars John Cusack, Alice Eve, and Luke Evans. It was released March 9, 2012 in the United Kingdom and the Republic of Ireland and in the United States and Canada on April 27, 2012.

The Dark Knight Rises is a 2012 superhero film directed by Christopher Nolan, who co-wrote the screenplay with his brother Jonathan Nolan and the story with David S. Goyer. Featuring the DC Comics character Batman, the film is the third and final installment in Nolan's Batman film trilogy, and is a sequel to Batman Begins (2005) and The Dark Knight (2008).

The Dictator is a 2012 comedy film co-written by and starring Sacha Baron Cohen as his fourth feature film in a leading role. The film is directed by Larry Charles, who previously directed Baron Cohen's mockumentaries Borat and Brüno. Cohen, in the role of Admiral General Aladeen, the dictator of the fictional Republic of Wadiya visiting the United States, stars alongside Anna Faris and Ben Kingsley.

Project X is a 2012 comedy film directed by Nima Nourizadeh in his feature film debut, written by Michael Bacall and Matt Drake based on a story by Bacall, and produced by The Hangover director Todd Phillips. The plot follows Thomas (Thomas Mann), Costa (Oliver Cooper) and J.B. (Jonathan Daniel Brown), three friends who plan to gain popularity by throwing a party.

The Lorax is a 2012 American computer-animated 3D musical comedy film based on Dr. Seuss' children's book of the same name. It was produced by Illumination Entertainment and was released by Universal Pictures on March 2, 2012, the 108th anniversary of Seuss' birth.
