Sony C190X model number spotted, hints at a mid-range droid

The Japanese blog ‘Blog of Mobile’ claims that Sony is preparing the announcement of a new mid-range smartphone with a model number C190X (X is a number that varies for the different regions), in coming weeks.

According to them, this budget android smartphone will be released in North America as C1904 with 4G LTE and in other markets as C1905 with 3G or HSPA. Not so much details leaked but it is suspected that it will pack a 5 inch screen with high PPI and a full HD resolution is anticipated.

It might be powered by a Quad core Mediatek processor at heart backed up with 1 GB of RAM and it will work on latest android operating system 4.2 jelly bean. It is expected to launch in the third quarter of 2013 and will be a budget oriented Smartphone. A photo taken with said phone has been posted to PicasaWeb.

All the EXIF info of the photo reveals is the software version - 15.1.A.1.0. This will be the fifth Smartphone from Sony this year.

Sony has released four other Smartphones including Xperia Z and Xperia ZL along with two other mid range Smartphones, Xperia SP and Xperia L. Also, Sony is rumored to be working on 5 new smartphones(excluding this), these includes, Sony Togari, Xperia ZR, Xperia A (Dogo) & Xperia UL (Gaga) and 20 MP camera ‘Honami’ Smartphones.
