Samsung has entertained a new Galaxy device to their family. The new device looks very much similar to that of the Galaxy Note II by looks. Samsung India launched the device for indian retail stores today (22nd Jan 2013), just after Micromax released their Canvas HD with 5-inch screen.
Device has some interesting features, which is available at the reasonable price with good build quality, which makes it a budget Mobile gadget which fits right into the pocket of average consumers. Considering the price range and specs, the device has potential to compete with other gadgets in the similar price range.
Here's a quick look at the specs of the Galaxy Grand smartphone:
* 5-inch WVGA TFT LCD display with a resolution of 480 x 800 pixels
* 3G, EDGE/GPRS, Wi-Fi capabilities

* 8MP camera
* 8GB + microSD expandable up to 64GB
The all new Galaxy Grand features 5" (inch) WVGA TFT screen (which is the only drawback as long as you ask me, considering that you can get the devices with sAMOLED or IPS display which offers the crisp and clear display at similar price range), runs on a dual core 1.2GHz processor and 1 GB Ram with 8GB internal memory (ROM), which can be expanded upto 64GB with microSD.
The device is powered by Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean). It sports 8MP rear camera (with LED flash) and 2MP snapper at the front.
